Jaipur:Architect Anoop Bartariya and others have not got relief from the Supreme Court in case of Syndicate Bank loan scam.
Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice Bela M. Trivedi’s bench has canceled the SLP while upholding the orders of the Rajasthan High Court.
Earlier, the Rajasthan High Court dismissed two petitions of Barataria as frivolous with a cost of Rs 50,000.
The order was challenged in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had earlier given relief saying that the ED should not take any coercive action against him.
However, the apex court has now canceled the petition considering the serious tendency of not putting the relevant documents required for desired relief in the SLP and praying the court to correct mistake.
The Supreme Court has ordered the subordinate courts to conduct their proceedings without any pressure or inducement.
In its decision, the Supreme Court has also directed its registrar office not to take such cases.
Considering the involvement of the accused in the money laundering case, the Supreme Court has also withdrawn the protection given earlier.
Recently, a CBI court took cognizance and summoned CA Bharat Bamb, Pavitra Kothari, Adarsh Manchanda, Mahesh Gupta, Kamal Sharma, Mahendra Meghwal, Ravi Prakash Sharma, Pragati Sharma, Dilip Kumawat, Kamal Attri, Satish Khandelwal, Gaurav Dhanwal, Vikram Jain, Daulat Raj Kothari, M/s JLN Metal House, M/s Riddhima Infratech and Samridhi Siddhi Builders apart from Anoop Barataria.
This case is related to the World Trade Park located on JLN Marg. Anoop Barataria is the CMD of the World Trade Park. In this, loans were taken from Syndicate Bank’s Malviya Nagar, MI Road and Udaipur branches in the name of various people to buy commercial space.
In the matter, irregularities of Rs 20,960 lakh were detected in about 118 bank accounts. On this, the CBI had registered an FIR in March 2016.
