Shubman Gill’s third century of the season helped Gujarat Titans score a mammoth 233/3 in 20 overs. Gill smashed 129 off 60 balls and a good finishing act from Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan did the work for GT. SKY kept MI in the hunt after the 10th over as well but the five-time champions unraveled after he fell in the 15th over. Mumbai folded for a score of 171 and the Titans thus became the third team after their opponents for the day and their opponents in the final to reach the title clash in consecutive seasons. Gill earlier brought up his his fifth half century of the season in 32 balls. After that, he went berserk, smashing the MI bowlers all around the park almost nonchalantly throughout the middle overs. He raced past his third century of the season in 49 balls after which he ended up accelerating even further.
