Sumit Nagal continued his great run in Monte Carlo and defeated world ranking 38 Matteo Arnaldi of Italy in intensely contested match that went into 3 sets. Nagal came back strongly after losing first set and defeated crowd favourite Arnaldi 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.
This is 3rd consecutive win for Nagal against players ranked above him. In R32 he will now face world ranking 7 player Holger Rune from Denmark. It ATP rankings released today Nagal is currently on his best ever ranking at 93 and set to move up further.
