Delhi Capitals (DC) wait for first win extended after they were humbled by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 23 runs in the IPL 2023 clash in Bengaluru on Saturday. Chasing a moderate 175, Delhi got off to a dreadful start after their spinners helped them restrict RCB at 174/6. The team lost Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh for 0, before Mohammed Siraj trapped Yash Dhull LBW for 1. David Warner got off to a start but could only manage 19 before being removed by Vijaykumar Vyshak. Manish Pandey smashed a half century, while Axar Patel chipped in with 14-ball 21 as Delhi could only manage 151/9 in response. Earlier Kuldeep scalped two and triggered RCB’s middle-order collapse by removing Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik in consecutive balls. Axar and Lalit scalped a wicket each. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli continued his supreme form and scored 50(34).
