Jaipur:CM Ashok Gehlot, on Thursday, paid tributes to freedom fighter and former Governor of Gujarat late Pt. Nawal Kishore Sharma at Ghat Ki Guni in Jaipur and unveiled Late Sharma’s statue.
The CM said “Sharma will always be remembered for social service done by him as an active public representative. As the chairman of Rajasthan Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee, he efficiently discharged important responsibility of writing the history of freedom fighters. The unveiling of his statue will inspire the younger generation for social service,” Gehlot said.
Earlier CM Ashok Gehlot garlanded the statue of Late Pt. Naval Kishore Sharma and met his family. He named Govt Medical College of Dausa after Late Sharma. CM met Nidhi, who brought laurels to state by winning power lifting competitions and encouraged her. The CM said more than 60 lakh families have been connected with the welfare schemes of the state government through the inflation relief camps.
In the meanwhile, Dr CP Joshi said that Pt. Sharma’s role has been imperative in taking the state forward.
