This year’s ceremony featured Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kailash Satyarthi as the chief guest and Accenture India’s Senior Managing Director of Human Resources, Lakshmi C, as the guest of honor, who both guided the new students.
In her address, Lakshmi C emphasized that through hard work and dedication, students could achieve great heights. She noted the need for change in the current education system, advocating for adopting new teaching methods beyond traditional books. She encouraged students to stay curious, ask questions, and see failures as opportunities for learning and growth.
Chief Guest and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kailash Satyarthi congratulated all the students and welcomed them, urging them to leave their prejudices and hesitations behind and begin this journey with an open mind and fresh start. He stressed the importance of open-mindedness, understanding the outside world, and stepping out of one’s comfort zone. He inspired students to imagine and work towards a new world where their dreams come true, emphasizing the importance of questioning and problem-solving skills for societal advancement.
President of JECRC University, Prof. Victor Gambhir, welcomed all the students and highlighted that 52% of the new admissions were under scholarship, awarded to students scoring 75% or above in their class 12 exams. This year’s academic session has not only attracted talented students but also students from almost 28 states across the country. Additionally, 1,600 students have been admitted to JECRC’s campus hostels, providing a safe, convenient, and supportive learning environment with all modern amenities.
