Chomu (Jaipur) : A tense situation developed late at night in Chomu town near Jaipur following a dispute that escalated into violence. The incident began over the removal of stones near a mosque located at the Chomu bus stand. What initially appeared to be a minor disagreement quickly turned into a clash, forcing police to intervene and use tear gas to restore order.
Cause of the Dispute
According to officials, the issue stemmed from the removal of stones from the mosque premises near the bus stand. Sources said that members of a particular community had earlier agreed to the removal, but later attempts were made to install iron angles for a boundary wall. When the police administration intervened to halt the construction, tensions rose at the site.
Stone Pelting and Police Action
